Write for Us and Contribute a Business, Tech or Current Affairs Article — Congress.net

Share Your Expertise With One of the Web’s Longest-Running Business and US Policy News Sites

Since 1996, Congress.net has been a trusted destination for decision-makers, investors, and professionals seeking rigorous analysis at the intersection of business, technology, and politics. Over nearly three decades, we have built an engaged readership of executives, regulators, entrepreneurs, and policymakers who come to us for insight they can act on — not noise.

We believe the most valuable commentary comes from the people closest to the issues. That’s why we welcome contributed articles from the thinkers, builders, and leaders shaping the world our readers navigate every day.

Who Can Write For Us

Congress.net publishes contributed articles about business news, current affairs, tech and AI, from a broad community of qualified voices, including:

  • Think-tanks and research institutions with data-driven perspectives on policy and markets
  • Analysts and economists offering original interpretation of trends and indicators
  • Policymakers and regulators with firsthand insight into the legislative and regulatory landscape
  • CEOs, C-suite executives, and senior business leaders sharing strategic perspectives on industry challenges and opportunities
  • Pioneers and innovators working at the frontier of emerging technologies and business models
  • Experts across any of our core coverage areas who bring depth, credentials, and original thinking

What We Cover

Contributed articles should fall within our core editorial verticals:

Business & Economics — consumer spending trends, macroeconomic analysis, monetary policy, inflation, trade, and the broader forces shaping global markets.

Technology — artificial intelligence, blockchain and Web 3.0, data analytics, emerging platforms, and the business models being built on top of them.

Politics & Regulation — legislative developments, regulatory frameworks, antitrust, data governance, and the policy decisions that move markets and reshape industries.

Energy & Commodities — the energy transition, oil and gas markets, critical minerals, commodity pricing, and infrastructure investment.

Cross-cutting pieces that connect two or more of these areas are particularly welcome. The most compelling analysis rarely stays in one lane.

What Makes a Strong Submission

The best pieces we publish tend to share a few qualities. They open with a clear, specific argument — not a survey of the landscape. They draw on the author’s direct experience or research. They say something that couldn’t have been written by anyone else.

We look for articles in the range of 700 to 1,200 words. Longer is not better; if your argument needs more space than that, it likely needs tighter editing first.

All articles will be rigorously evaluated against our editorial standards and content guidelines.

How to Submit an Article

Send your pitch or completed draft to our editorial team at [email protected]. Please include a brief author bio and any relevant institutional affiliation. We review all submissions but can only respond to those we intend to publish.
