CrowdStrike Holdings (CRWD) jumped more than 11% in extended trading after the cybersecurity giant crushed Wall Street’s fiscal second-quarter expectations and raised its full-year guidance.
The company reported adjusted earnings per share of 31 cents, topping the 29 cents analysts had expected, while revenue came in at $1.47 billion against a $1.44 billion consensus estimate.
Revenue climbed 26% compared to the same quarter a year ago, when the company posted $1.17 billion, marking a significant acceleration in growth momentum.
Chief Executive George Kurtz described the results in unusually emphatic terms, calling it “the best quarter in CrowdStrike’s history” in the company’s official earnings release.
Kurtz framed the results around the growing intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity demand, pointing to a major shift in how enterprises think about AI adoption and protection.
“The Mythos moment translated into mass-market acceptance that AI adoption needs security, and that’s CrowdStrike,” Kurtz said, citing Anthropic’s release of its advanced Mythos model as a catalyst for the industry.
Anthropic’s Mythos model, capable of exploiting previously unknown software vulnerabilities, has upended the cybersecurity landscape and sparked surging demand for advanced security tools across enterprise markets.
Kurtz went further in outlining the long-term opportunity, stating, “Every enterprise will run on AI, and securing it is the largest market opportunity in our history.”
The rise of agentic AI has powered shares of CrowdStrike and its competitors to all-time highs, with CRWD stock up more than 61% so far this year heading into the earnings report.
CrowdStrike raised its full-year revenue outlook to between $5.99 billion and $6.01 billion, well above the $5.93 billion analysts had penciled in before the report.
The company also lifted its full-year adjusted earnings per share guidance to between $1.25 and $1.26, topping the $1.23 consensus estimate from Wall Street analysts.
For the fiscal third quarter, CrowdStrike projected revenue of between $1.52 billion and $1.53 billion, along with adjusted earnings per share of 31 cents, broadly in line with existing analyst forecasts.
