D-Wave Quantum Inc. (QBTS) will ring the Nasdaq Opening Bell on July 27, 2026, marking the company’s official listing debut on the prestigious technology exchange.
CEO Dr. Alan Baratz and the D-Wave management team will lead the ceremonial bell-ringing at the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square, New York.
The event follows the company’s voluntary transfer of its common stock listing to Nasdaq, widely regarded as the premier exchange for technology companies.
D-Wave describes itself as the only dual-platform quantum computing company providing both annealing and gate-model systems, software, and services to enterprise and government clients.
The Palo Alto-based firm positions itself as the world’s first commercial supplier of quantum computers and the first to offer dual-platform quantum computing products and services.
“The quantum market is beginning to separate proof from promise, and we believe that D-Wave stands apart,” said Dr. Alan Baratz, CEO of D-Wave.
“We have commercial technology delivering measurable customer value now and a differentiated gate-model roadmap that positions us to address the full quantum computing market,” Baratz added.
Baratz described the Nasdaq move as the beginning of a new chapter, saying the company plans to “accelerate our commercial momentum and enter our next phase of growth.”
More than 100 organizations across commercial, government, and research sectors currently rely on D-Wave to address complex computational challenges using quantum computing technology.
The company offers enterprise-grade quantum systems both on-premises and via its Leap quantum cloud service, which the company says delivers 99.9% availability and uptime to customers globally.
D-Wave’s gate-model program is specifically designed to provide what the company calls an efficient and achievable path to fault-tolerant quantum computing, complementing its existing annealing systems.
The Opening Bell ceremony will be broadcast live beginning at 9:15 a.m. ET on Nasdaq’s official website, giving investors and the public a chance to witness the milestone moment.
