Trump’s MAGA Inc. Drops Another $5 Million Into Texas Senate Battle

President Trump’s super PAC, MAGA Inc., has poured an additional $5 million into the Texas Senate race, according to a new Federal Election Commission filing published Saturday.

The latest expenditure was earmarked for Del Ray Media LLC, a Virginia-based political media company, to fund TV and digital advertising efforts in the race.

The advertising is aimed squarely against the Democratic nominee in the race, state Rep. James Talarico, who is competing for a high-profile Senate seat.

The new infusion of cash marks MAGA Inc.’s latest contribution to what has become an expensive advertising campaign battle in Texas.

Republican state attorney general Ken Paxton and Talarico are going head-to-head in the competitive contest for GOP Sen. John Cornyn’s Senate seat.

Earlier this month, a separate FEC filing revealed that MAGA Inc. had already given Del Ray Media $10 million to fund two attack ads targeting Talarico’s campaign.

The back-to-back expenditures signal that Trump and his political allies view the Texas Senate race as a top priority heading into the midterm cycle.

Trump has pledged to spend between $400 million and $500 million on midterm races, reserving the remainder of the super PAC’s funds for the 2028 presidential election cycle.

The president pegged MAGA Inc.’s total cash on hand at “close to a billion dollars,” though FEC filings told a somewhat different story at the end of July.

Those filings reported the super PAC held $403.45 million at the close of July, a figure still representing a formidable war chest for the ongoing midterm campaign push.

The spending underscores how seriously Republican leadership is taking the Texas race, with significant outside money now flowing in to shape the outcome well before Election Day.

With millions more potentially on the way, Talarico and Democratic allies will face mounting pressure to match the financial firepower being directed against his campaign.
