Dell Technologies (DELL) delivered a record-breaking second quarter, with revenue hitting $47 billion and far surpassing analyst expectations of $44.92 billion.
Earnings per share came in at $6.34, representing a stunning 273% increase compared to the same period a year ago, signaling explosive growth driven by artificial intelligence demand.
Adjusted earnings per share of $7.04 also crushed Wall Street’s estimate of $4.91, reflecting an adjusted gain of 203% year over year.
The company’s CEO credited AI momentum as the central force reshaping Dell’s business trajectory and expanding opportunity across its entire product portfolio.
“With AI momentum accelerating and our opportunity expanding across the portfolio, we’re raising our full-year FY27 revenue outlook by $25 billion to $192 billion, up nearly 70% year over year,” said Jeff Clarke, CEO of Dell Technologies.
Dell now projects full-year earnings of $25.50 per share on total sales of $192 billion, dramatically ahead of its earlier guidance of $17.90 per share and $165 billion in sales.
That revised outlook towers over Wall Street’s prior full-year consensus of $18.92 per share in earnings on $172.67 billion in revenue.
For the third quarter, Dell guided for revenue of $49 billion and adjusted EPS of $6.50, both well above analyst estimates of $41.42 billion in sales and $4.48 per share.
Enterprise customers are rapidly adopting artificial intelligence infrastructure, using AI servers locally to run agentic AI queries and driving a significant surge in Dell’s order volumes.
Dell’s stock had slipped more than 6% during the regular trading session but recovered sharply after the earnings report landed, erasing a portion of the day’s losses.
Despite the intraday volatility, shares of DELL remain up an extraordinary 236% year to date, dwarfing the broader S&P 500 Index’s comparatively modest gain of just 11% over the same period.
The results underscore how Dell has successfully repositioned itself as a primary infrastructure provider for the enterprise AI buildout sweeping across corporate America.
