Mary Peltola Posts $17M Fundraising Quarter In Alaska’s High-Stakes Senate Battle

Former Rep. Mary Peltola has raised $17 million in the third quarter of 2026, marking her largest quarterly fundraising total in her Senate bid against GOP incumbent Dan Sullivan.

Peltola’s campaign shared the fundraising figures first with Politico, underscoring the national attention this race has attracted heading into November.

Alaska’s Senate contest is rated as one of just four tossup races nationwide, making it a critical battleground in the fight for Senate control.

With the balance of the chamber at stake, money from across the country is flooding into Alaska, much of it arriving through partisan fundraising platforms ActBlue and WinRed in the form of small donations.

Sullivan, a two-term Republican incumbent, is seeking a third term and has considerable outside support backing his campaign for the November 3 election.

The Senate Leadership Fund has committed $17 million in advertising spending to boost Sullivan’s chances, signaling deep Republican investment in holding the seat.

Meanwhile, the Senate Majority PAC has invested more than $12 million in television reservations to support Peltola’s campaign against the incumbent.

Both Peltola and Sullivan advanced from the primary, with Peltola capturing 49.5% of the vote and Sullivan earning 41.4%, setting up a competitive general election matchup.

Cook Political Report and DDHQ both rate the race as a tossup, though DDHQ predicts Democrats are narrowly favored to win the seat.

The Alaska race reflects a broader national pattern in which competitive Senate contests are attracting unprecedented outside spending and grassroots fundraising energy from both parties.

Peltola’s $17 million haul positions her campaign with significant financial resources as the race enters its final and most expensive stretch before Election Day.

With control of the Senate potentially hinging on Alaska’s outcome, both parties are expected to pour additional resources into the state in the weeks ahead.
