The four-bedroom, three-bathroom property at 333 South Roxbury Drive is now listed at $13,950 per month, a notable increase from its $11,000 monthly asking rent in 2021.
Van Der Beek, best known for his role in “Dawson’s Creek,” died in February at age 48 following a battle with colorectal cancer.
The actor and his wife Kimberly never owned the property, choosing instead to lease it before the family relocated to Texas in 2020.
The roughly 3,100-square-foot residence is owned by a trust tied to billionaire real estate investors and former Los Angeles Clippers owners Donald and Rochelle Sterling.
The home drew widespread public attention after Architectural Digest featured the couple’s extensive redesign of the property just before the pandemic began.
Working with designer Tammy Price, the Van Der Beek family outfitted the home with movable furnishings suited to a household of six children and frequent guests.
The floor plan includes a chef’s kitchen and an oversized living room, while the backyard features a guesthouse, wood deck, pool, spa, and built-in barbecue.
The listing is held by Vision Realty’s Terri Scheid and has already attracted strong early interest and high demand from prospective tenants.
After leaving California, Van Der Beek and his family settled on a 36-acre ranch in Spicewood, Texas, located near Austin.
The family initially leased their Texas property before purchasing it through an LLC in January for nearly $4.8 million, just weeks before the actor’s death.
